Adam landau
Clinical therapist intern
Adam (he/him) is a graduate-level counseling intern at Third Eye Counseling, working towards his Master of Social Work at Loyola University. He brings a collaborative, person-centered approach to therapy, creating a calm and safe space where clients of all ages and backgrounds are free to explore how they feel, their deepest thoughts, and who they are. Specializing in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship dynamics, family issues, and ADHD, Adam also brings his own lived experience with ADHD to his practice.
With experience working in community-based services, Adam is deeply passionate about social justice and strives to create a space where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. His approach is grounded in evidence-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Adam believes that therapy is a journey to understanding oneself more deeply, helping clients unpack their emotions, uncover strengths, and build practical skills for everyday life.
Recognizing that each client’s story is unique, Adam tailors his approach to honor their background and personal journey. Passionate about mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and creative outlets like art and music, he integrates these therapeutic tools into sessions to help clients reconnect with themselves and their bodies and build resilience. Dedicated to fostering a supportive and empathetic environment, Adam works alongside clients to create meaningful, lasting change.
Adam is available to provide services in Illinois, Florida, and Massachusetts.
