Claire (she/her), Therapist contracted with Third Eye Counseling, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist with over 13 years of experience providing individual therapy, group therapy, and community-based art experientials to adults 18-40+ from all walks of life and settings.  With a strong background in community mental health, Claire believes in a trauma-informed approach, identifying a client’s strengths as the foundation of the therapeutic work.  She takes care to look at the whole person and their environment to be able to provide the best support possible.  In her view, the client is the one that knows themselves the best, so she highly values their own words and experiences to cocreate support and strategies that will be helpful for them.  Claire has developed expertise in supporting those navigating life transitions, self-esteem, relationship challenges, boundaries, anxiety and depression.  As a mother of young children, she is also passionate about maternal mental health and parenting.

Claire utilizes tools from Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), adapting to the client to find connection to a variety of personalized coping techniques.  With her Board Certification in Art Therapy, she is able to incorporate creative problem solving and visual directives to support tangible solutions for tangible growth.  She believes that emotional wellness is for everyone.
