Ella Hartel
Clinical THERAPIST
Ella (she/her) is a Clinical Therapist at Third Eye Counseling and holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. She specializes in working with young adults, women, and adolescents aged 9+ navigating life transitions, relationship stress, breakups, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, and identity exploration. She also supports couples experiencing recurring conflict, disconnection, or challenges with communication. Grounded in a feminist perspective, she is passionate about uplifting women’s experiences. She prioritizes creating a safe and collaborative space, believing clients flourish when given the right tools and support.
Ella’s approach integrates various evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP). With specialized training in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), she brings a deep understanding of how trauma impacts the brain and nervous system throughout stages of development. Ella works from an attachment-based lens, supporting clients in fostering healthy relationships by exploring early experiences, identifying needs, and developing skills for coping, communication, and connection. Incorporating mindfulness and somatic-based strategies, Ella helps clients reconnect with their bodies to move through daily life feeling more balanced and grounded.
Ella is able to provide services in Illinois, Florida, and Massachusetts.
